I would suggest getting the proper sized oil filter socket though. I bought two from EuropaParts (one for my A4, the other for the A6 TDI - they are different sizes). Jul 6, 2009 · Thanks in advance. if in actuality there is too much oil, it can be harmful in several ways. hhowever, the electronic oil sensor is notoriously inaccurate. you can buy a dipstick or take it back to the dealer to see if in fact there really is too much oil. it is a simple fix to drain whatever needs to be removed.
